October Pop-Up Dinner Series

Join us on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-8pm Oct 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 in Garden Spot (behind Lantern at 421 W. Franklin Street). Chill out on Friday nights with DJs from WXYC and check out the Festifall After Party on Saturdays! Every night of the series, you can enjoy a selection of NC beers and delicious food:

The first Garden Spot pop-up series is scheduled for 4-8 pm on July 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29. Head to Garden Spot (behind Lantern Restaurant at 421 W. Franklin Street) for live music, DJs, surprise performances, and cocktails at our brand-new backlot bar, and food from:

  • King's Pepper’s Gail Jennings is cooking her award-winning African tacos, a  vegan mashup of the street snack and West African black eye pea fritters with a brilliant Shango sauce.

  • Zim Torrain of Mr. Gravy's will pull up with his classic Southern comfort food including his secret fried chicken, mile-high cakes and fruity lemonade.

  • Maria Pacheco of Cilantro Artisan Foods is coming in hot with her insanely delicious cochinta pibil, poblano rajas, and chicken tinga prepared in the traditional way, topped with soon-to-be world-famous salsas, guacamole, and pico de gallo.

  • Elaka Treats will be bringing the sweetness to the July Garden Spot pop-up series. Shafna Shamsuddin’s ice creams are made with both local ingredients and the South Indian & Arabic flavors she grew up with including Carolina Peach Sonker, Pineapple Hibiscus sorbet and the emperor of all frozen treats - Kufli ice cream with pistachios, cardamom, and saffron
